
Tahoe Science Advisory Council
The Tahoe Science Advisory Council provides independent, science-based guidance to support informed decision-making for the restoration and long-term resilience in the Lake Tahoe region. Working in partnership with regional, state, and federal partners, the Council synthesizes the best available science, identifies knowledge gaps, and promotes collaboration between researchers and resource managers. Its mission is to ensure that management actions are grounded in credible, contemporary scientific understanding, helping protect the clarity, ecological integrity, and communities of the Lake Tahoe region.
